Congratulations on your new puppy!  

We are so excited to welcome you to the Bald Mountain Dachshund Family.  Now that you have chosen your puppy it is time to prepare for your puppy coming home.

The first and most important thing you need to do is call your Veterinarian and schedule a new puppy exam. Your puppy will need to have vaccines they receive with us boosted. Vaccines are time sensitive and given on a schedule. Failure to get your puppy's vaccines boosted on time will cause your puppy to have to restart their Vaccinations over again. Bald Mountain Dachshunds requires that all puppies receive proper health care. 

When your new puppy arrives home you will be thinking about all the things you need to do like training your puppy. Training is great but the first thing your puppy needs to learn is that they are loved. They need time to learn their new environment and get to trust you. Take a few days just to love on them and let them adjust before worrying about all the things like potty training and crate training.

Below please find a list of puppy supplies we recommend or utilize here at Bald Mountain Dachshunds. Your new puppy will be eating dry food by the time they come home. Sometimes when adjusting to their new home puppies can be a little pickier with food. Canned food can be added if needed as extra treat.  Click on pictures to be connected to any items below.
