Where is your business located?

Our business is located in Ellsworth, Maine. We are located by Bald Mountain and Branch Lake. 

Are all of your Sires/Dams purebred? 

All our Dachshunds are 100% pure bred

What kind of payment methods do you accept? 

For deposits we accept Paypal,  Cash, Personal Checks or Certified bank check. 

The final balance due on day of pick up, has to be made in cash. We don't take credit cards or checks for final payment

Small businesses are known to be victims of scams or chargeback frauds. 

Does it cost anything to join Waiting List ?

No  

Are deposits refundable?

Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE .

Do our Dogs see a Licensed veterinarian?

Yes. All our breeding females and studs receive regular Vet care. We love Our Veterinarian.

How and where do your puppies grow up?

Our Sires, Dams and puppies are all raised in our house and are a part of our family!

Will my puppy be vaccinated, and Dewormed ?

Yes, your puppy will come with his/her beginner vaccinations and deworming. This is not all of vaccinations or deworming needed. Vaccination and deworming are given over time and will need to be continued with your vet when puppy comes home. You will receive our records to give to Veterinarian so they will be able to help you plan for future vaccinations.

Will my puppy have any kind of training?

Yes. We will start them off with a formal house training on training pads and basic commands like "come" and "no" etc.

Do you offer any kind of health guarantee?

Yes we are offer a 1 year Health Guarantee.

How often do you take pictures of your puppies?

We take the first pictures when the puppies arweeks of age. After that, we update our pictures every 7-10 days. This is a guaranteed minimum we hope to send lots of pics and videos while you wait for your baby. 

When is my puppy ready for his/her new forever home?

Your puppy will be ready for its new forever home by 8-12 weeks. Some litters wean faster than others, we want to make sure your puppy is 100% ready for the big new world and is eating well.

What makes you a good breeder?

Our dogs are our family. We care about the wellbeing of our dogs and puppies, provide them with the best healthcare available and spend plenty of one-on-one time with each and every dog daily.

Do you offer financing?

No. We do not offer financing

Do you offer shipping?

Yes. We have a Flight Nanny for all 50 states. Cost of shipping includes price of plane ticket and airlines pet fee. Plus Nanny Fee. The total cost of travel will be figured on a case to case basis as every airline and location may have variations in cost.

Will the puppies come with any kind of registration or breeding rights ?

No. We do not allow the Breeding of any of our puppies. All puppies are required to be spayed/neutered by the time of their First birthday. We do not offer registration paperwork for Pet only Sales. We do allow our buyers upon request to review Sire/Dam Registration paperwork and Pedigrees before purchase. 

Can Bald Mountain Dachshunds deny a potential customer?

Yes. We can deny a potential customer for any reasons, or no reasons at all at anytime until final contract is signed. 

Do you take the dog or puppy back if it doesn't work out between us?

For purchased puppies or adult animals, whether trained or not, we cannot guarantee that the said animal will adjust to you, your family or environment. Bald Mountain Dachshunds can not be held responsible for the personal likes, or dislikes of any animal being adopted or purchased through us. We ask that adopting families take great care and thought into the adoption process. This is a creature that will be affected by life changes.  Please be considerate of the precious creatures feelings and needs, especially adjustment periods.  

We will do whatever we can to ensure your complete satisfaction, including assistance in training for the dog or you and your family members.

We do require if you are unable to keep your puppy/dog at any point during its life you contact us.

Do you offer any kind of customer support after I picked up the puppy?

Yes. We are always glad to hear from any of our puppies new families. We will do our best to help with any questions that may arise over the lifetime of your pet.

 Are There Scammers trying to sell dogs ?  

 Yes. As discouraging as it is, Fake Dog Breeders are out there right now. We have done our best with our website to show you a personalized website. That hopefully would allow you to see that when you buy from Bald Mountain Dachshunds we are a real family and would love to make you a part of that.
